 Synopsis

A sheltered Indian couple visits their son in the U.S. for the first time and bungles their apartment rental, ending up in close quarters with their hosts, a gay couple and their dog.

Meera Syal

Meera Syal, CBE (born Feroza Syal; 27 June 1961) is a British comedian, writer, playwright, singer, journalist, producer and actress. She rose to prominence as one of the team that created Goodness Gracious Me and became one of the UK's best-known Indian personalities portraying Sanjeev's grandmother, Ummi, in The Kumars at No. 42. 

She was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 1997 New Year Honours and in 2003 was listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy. She was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2015 New Year Honours for services to drama and literature. (Source: Wikipedia)

Max Jenkins

Max Jenkins is an actor and writer, known for The Mysteries of Laura (2014), Those People (2015) and Fort Tilden (2014). 

Jenkins was first seen on High Maintenance in the webisode "Olivia" in 2013, guest-starring opposite Heléne Yorke. Buzzfeed lauded Jenkins and Yorke in their list of "16 Scene-Stealers From TV Comedy" in 2014, while Indiewire praised "Olivia" as "one of the series' strongest and most popular episodes." 

Jenkins has also given critically acclaimed performances in various New York theatre productions, notably Unnatural Acts at Classic Stage Company. The play, co-written by Jenkins and other members of the cast, was nominated for three 2012 Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Play. 

Upon the premiere of The Mysteries of Laura on September 17, 2014, The Los Angeles Times cited Jenkins as "fabulous," adding that he "may deserve a show of his own." (Source: Wikipedia)

Bernard White

Bernard White was born in Sri Lanka, raised in Detroit, and graduated with a B.A. in Theatre from Michigan State. He is splits his time between LA and New York City. 

While currently known for his work as "Denpok" the spiritual adviser on HBO's SILICON VALLEY, Bernie is a familiar face to TV, Film, and theater audiences, with more than 100 credits to his name. His skill set ranges from soap (DAYS OF OUR LIVES and SANTA BARBARA) to comedy (THE BRINK) and even tentpoles (CAPTAIN AMERICA, THE MATRIX RELOADED).

Priyanka is a comedy writer and director in Los Angeles. She was formerly an agent at UTA and WME, as well as Jack Black’s partner at their production company, Electric Dynamite. She holds degrees in Italian and Law from the University of Michigan. Priyanka grew up in India, England, and Saudi Arabia, before moving to the U.S. in high school. She now lives in Venice (California) with her husband and son.
